♥ Steam Family Sharing (Steam Families)
Share your game library with your family, officially and for free
What Is It?
Steam Families is an official Steam feature that lets up to 6 members share their games with each other, so each member plays from the family library on their own device, with their own account and their own progress.
How to Set It Up
- Open Steam and go to Steam → Settings → Family.
- Click “Create a Family”, then “Invite a Member”, and choose the account from your friends list.
- The member accepts the invitation from their account, and the shareable games appear in their library under the owner's name.
- They download the game and play right away.
☆ Important Rules
- Each game can be played by only one person at a time; if the owner launches their game, the other player is asked to stop after a warning.
- Some games don't support sharing, especially those that require an external account or a subscription.
- Members must be in roughly the same geographic region, and Steam monitors this.
- Anyone who leaves a family can't join another family until one year has passed.
- A ban (VAC) on a shared game also affects the game's owner.
⚙️ What About OK SHOP Accounts?
The Steam accounts we sell become fully yours, so you can add them to your family after changing their details. Check the product instructions, and stick to the rule of not making any purchases inside the account before 3 months have passed, so the sharing feature isn't restricted.
